Our own taste of Sin City?
Today the Mohegan Sun opens. The first Casino in our local area. Their are plans already to expand the casino in the next year with a hotel and more. For years many have had to take the trip to Atlantic City, which meant a long road trip, or a thirty dollar bus ride.
This casino will bring in people from outside the area, adding income to our area, plus all the jobs it offers. Not to mention all the gamblers going to the local Gentlemen's club. Yes, it is always true, a strip club will always benefit from a casino. People form out of the area will go to the club after having some fun at the Mohegan sun.
With the arena, and now the casino, more and more businesses will strive to open in this area. More hotels, restaurants and tourist attractions. All this may mean an increase in the already good customer base for one local adult club. Gentlemen's club 10

I think more child support and bill money will be spent at the casino....as others claim strip clubs do...well let's see how far 50 dollars goes for a night out at the casino.
most people gamble sensibly- you always have about 2-3% who are addicts to almost anything including religion.
Well, considering the first day, at the opening, most that entered and began to gamble were the elderly, as are most that take the bus trips to AC, I would say most is not bill money and child support.
And with nickel slots, 50 bucks can be a lot of fun, look at the woman on WNEP who won $1000 dollars off the penny slots in her first hour.
I went today. I only took 30 dollars to gamble with. I came home with 45 dollars, and had a good time. I spent 4 hours up there with a friend. Great place.
There is a group of us going this weekend, and then we just may hit up the club after words.

But I do hear that maybe some promotion may take place at the Mohegan from Club10.

The Woodlands already promote club10. And the Mohegan is going to work with the Woodlands...only seems logical.
Hey, casino money bought alot of the stuff around my house: bigscreen TV's, surround speakers, stereos, and two computers, to name a few. I gamble like I ogle the ladies, with caution and respect for the game. I've seen people lose their asses on either! But then again, I've seen more than that lost over religious beliefs. Like heads and lives. Casinos and titty bars take money out of the offering plate, they can't be having that...

The Casino will help lower our taxes, provide jobs and entertainment to the area. For years there has been so little to do in this area. And yes, a strip club is entertainment, and lots from our area go there. Just as they will the Casino
