Charity Event at Gclub10
This was sent to me this morning. A very worthy cause for a special little girl.
This is the letter I received.

Melanie Ruth Prashker-Thomas
Dear friend;
Let me share with you the story of Melanie Ruth Prashker-Thomas.
Melanie is a nine year old, vibrant girl who suffers from Von Willebrand Disease (VWD). VWD prevents Melanie from participating in everyday childhood activities due to lack of a specific protein in her blood which prevents normal blood clotting. With VWD, something as minor as bumping her leg could be fatal.
Gentlemen’s Club 10 is sponsoring a one night Charity Event for Melanie on Sunday, October 15, 2006 in an effort to financially assist Melanie’s family with her much needed treatments. Everyone is welcome to come support us that evening. Please see the list of activities at the end of this letter for more information.
Gentlemen’s Club 10 will continue to work to help make a difference in the lives of people like Melanie. Individuals affected by this disease have reason to hope because great advances are being made in VWD. However, continued research, outreach and work are essential to help all who are affected by VWD.
You can make an immediate difference in the life of a child with VWD. 100% of your donation will provide financial help for Melanie and her family for treatment, other associated costs and research.
I hope we can count on you to help. Please send the most generous gift you can, as soon as possible. Monetary donations, gift certificates, or items to be raffled would be greatly appreciated. In return, recognition will be given to you and/or your business in advertising and on the day of the event.

50% of the entrance fee will be donated to Melanie. (We will be having Bikini Dancing for that night)
Male Revue in one of our Private Party Rooms for women attending the event.
Live Music Entertainment.
Raffles for Gift Certificated donated. (All proceeds going to Melanie)
Chinese Auctions for Baskets and/or Gift Certificates Donated. (All proceeds going to Melanie)
DJ announcing time auctioned off. (All proceeds going to Melanie)
Body Latex Painting by Bruce Fairchild. (All proceeds going to Melanie)
Plus, many more fun, exciting ways to raise money for Melanie.
Gentlemen’s Club 10 is proud to hold an event like this in our establishment, and we are hopeful that an outpouring of participation will be created to help families like Melanie’s

Even with negativity this club gets from some locals, they will still continue to give back to the community through charity events. As they letter says, this night none of the girls will be nude, Bikinis all around.

I think it is great, i emailed your post to Mr. family, and said he should post it on his site, in the interest of fairness.
what time or did I miss that?
It will take place during normal club hours. 7 pm The events will start.
This is a nice thing the club is trying. I hope it gets a nice turn out.
So how long until Mr.Family tries to take this event and make it negative?
I just posted a question about this event on the site of Mr.F. I want to know what the haters say.
The club is tryign to give something back to the community, even when a part of it hates them. Well done.
I am not a pro clubber as they have been called, but I am
pro-(legal)choice. I or my husband do not go to these types of adult establishments, but do not frown on those that do. I think raising money for a cause such as this is good. I will keep her and her family in my prayers.

Why Be suprised? because it is not in the sterotype? Because other clubs actually do not care for the area they are in? Maybe, just as people have been saying, this club is different then all the rest.
I will be there for this event. I look foward to it.

To all people that are going to take this and make negative statements about why or what we are doing. To them I have to say....if it were my son, who just happens to be the same age as Melanie, I would take the help from whomever would be willing to provide for me and my son. Help is out there but not always in a timely fashion. Many people are in need of help and sometimes help comes too late.
We are feel what we are doing is the right thing....and would really like this to be about Melanie and nothing else!
