Strip Club Wins Round Over Zoning Ordinance
Two thing I would like to point out about these articles. 1st is the ruling by a judge form the 1st article. The club was GRANDFATHERED IN because their permit was granted BEFORE the ban. Sounds familiar, just as another club will be grandfathered due to a BYOB ban around here.
2nd is the comment by a city's Urban planner, he had the following to say:
“The notion that adult entertainment caused crime is a lie,” he said.
“The secondary effects are just myths.”
Urban Planner R. Bruce McLaughlin, said the club averaged far fewer police calls over a three-year period than two local bars, a nearby liquor store and even one area residence. He also found no apparent effect on the value of property in the community due to the club’s operation.
As you can see, this is happening all the time. The "Secondary effects" are just that. Myths. Studies all over are proving that they are false and clubs of this nature DO NOT raise crime or reduce property values.

The opposeres to the club will never admit that the crime rate studies are in fact outdated. Crime doesnt increase around clubs. They just use that as an excuse to try to remove them because the do not like nudity.
The judges ruled for the club, and the same will happen for Sal! The club will live on!
It is nice to see some justice happeneing in other areas, and not the local religous hounds getting there way all the time. The law stands firm.
Now all we need it the law to work here and get the Granfather clause in effect for the BYOB at Gclub.
I have a good feeling that Club10 will be Grandfathered in with the legal permit they already have. But if not, I think there is a suprise coming.
Anon 8:26 is right, when if you look up all the studies online about the so called "Secondary effects" they are from years ago, very outdated. The news studies all show that the effects are nothing like what they are stated in the earlier studies.
But those that oppose the club will not admit this. The will use any excuse they can to bash the club and any who go there. They claim that we are have no lives, that we are not happy at home. They have no clue
